Blockwork - Art, Design, Interior Consultancy

Blockwork is an art, design, interior consultancy supporting excellence in regional arts practice. Through its series of ‘showroom’ exhibitions, Blockwork aims to showcase regional art and design talent, build awareness of extraordinary work being produced locally and offer an opportunity for people to purchase exciting, new work. Blockwork also offers arts consultancy services for government, corporate and not-for-profit projects.

Current Exhibition

Crossing the Divide : a collaborative project that will help develop regional partnerships between Toowoomba Regional Artists, Toowoomba Arts Spaces and experienced South West Artists. This project has been developed by Blockwork and will be delivered through made. Creative Space.

 

The Exhibition - Paintings by Patricia Hinz, Carol McCormack and Catherine Rose

Enjoy paintings by three experienced South West Qld Artists who individually showcase the nature of the west. Patricia is from Drillham, Carol from Glenmorgan and Catherine from Miles and all have worked on projects ranging from public art, to historic restoration through to major regional gallery exhibitions.

Five photographers with a passion for images that trigger an emotional response

This exhibition presents art photography in its purist form. Ken Ball, Wendy Roche, Stan Paynter, Linda Spiers and Barbara Hofmann are five talented photographers who all have a passion for images that trigger and emotional response. Their work is produced 'in camera' at the time of exposure and not using computer software. Each photographer follows the same philosophy, concentrating on 'seeing' images around them and capturing them as an artist would with a palette of colours and a blank canvas. This exhibition showcases beautiful photographs that are full of life and feeling.

• 12 weeks to Christmas: 1 October to 24 December 2011 – Showcasing work of regional artists and crafts people and providing the perfect opportunity to select authentic, unique gifts for Christmas.
• Miniatures Exhibition: 9 to 26 September 2011 – Be seduced by the beauty of the regions and the talents of its artists through small scale work or ‘Miniatures’.
